KTM 390 SMC R

2025 KTM 390 SMC R SuperMotard Sliding In…

The KTM 390 SMC R is the smaller brother of the KTM 690 SMC R, KTM’s answer for the middle-weight segment. The KTM 390 SMC R has been designed and developed in Austria.

The 390 SMC R is equipped with KTM’s latest generation 399 cc LC4c single cylinder engine. Three Ride Modes are available to choose from, Street Mode, Rain Mode and Sport Mode.

Of couse it also comes with the Supermoto ABS feature if you decide to go sliding into corners…

Suspension is via an adjustable 43 mm WP APEX cartridge fork with 230 mm travel and a WP APEX Separate piston shock with 230 mm of travel out back. The rear shock’s rebound can be adjusted on the fly while the preload adjustment can be done with a tool.

The new 390 SMC R is equipped with a 320 mm radial front brake disc and a Bybre double piston caliper. The rear is fitted with a 240 mm brake disc and a single-piston caliper.

Both front and rear brakes are supported by KTM’s ABS technology with the option to disable the rear ABS completely to add to the fun.

The 390 SMC R is fitted with Michelin Power 6 tyres  110/70 R17 up front and the rear at 150/60 R17 spoked rims.

A specifically developed die-cast swingarm has been fitted to provide a sturdy and durable platform for the rear suspension system.

Just like the 2025 KTM 390 Enduro R, the 390 SMC R comes equipped with a 2-piece steel trellis main frame and a pressure aluminium subframe. An 860 mm  single-piece flat seat with added comfort has been fitted to the 390 SMC R for those longer rides.

Another similarity between the Enduro R and the SMC R is the compact 4.2” H42 TFT screen that has been polarised to improve visibility and reduce glare. Riders will be able to access incoming calls, music and turn-by-turn navigation. The dash is also equipped with a USB charging port.
