At the CFMOTO launch earlier this year, they warned us that a sports bike was in the wings. We did not expect it to happen this quickly…
CF Moto’s first bigger capacity sports bike is the brainchild of the Italian R&D department at Modena 40. The 675SR-R is powered by a 675 CC three-cylinder engine (bore 72 mm, stroke 55.2 mm) with double overhead camshaft (DOHC) timing and four valves per cylinder, for a maximum power output of 95 hp at 11,000 rpm and torque of 70 Nm at 8,250 rpm
The frame is tubular steel with a curved aluminium swingarm. Suspension is handled by KYB, with a fully adjustable 41mm upside-down fork and a single shock absorber with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping.
The braking system uses 300mm discs with four-piston J. Juan radial calipers, at the rear it uses a 240mm disc with a single-piston caliper. The 675SR-R has a wheelbase of 1,400 mm, with a kerb weight of 198 kg’s (15-litre tank filled to 90 per cent).
Equipment includes traction control that can be adjusted to two levels or switched off, 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and dedicated CFMOTO Ride App, dual USB sockets (one type C), and OTA software updates.
The front end has split LED headlights, the tail is short and raised, and the low exhaust helps centralise mass. Chat to your dealer.
