The MRSSA hosted their final round for 2026 at Kyalami. Friday’s race was cancelled when a car spilled oil from Turn 3 to Turn 7 with with rain spreading it even further.
Riders all agreed that it was safer to call it a day. Saturday arrived, and the final race was on!
Race 1
(Combined Report)
With a mighty roar, the riders launched off the line and the race was on. #52 Troy Tonking on his KTM RC8 grabbed an early lead, with #117 Dave Veringa in close pursuit. Throughout the race there were a few scares and some proper elbow-bashing moments. Tonking rounded the final corner and crossed the line to take the win, Veringa followed in second, and #26 Oratilwe Phiri claimed third.
Race 2
Race 2 was cut to only three laps due to the weather. Veringa took the lead from the start, while #110 Jordan King initially held second place before being overtaken by Phiri. #27 Ryan Futter, #19 Siya Tshabalala, and #127 Clive Turnbull were locked in a fierce battle for fourth. When the chequered flag waved, Veringa secured the victory, with Phiri close behind in second and King right alongside him in third. Futter took fourth, but only just, as Tshabalala and Turnbull crossed the line split seconds later.
