Penny Sterley, who a lot of us will know from her stint at BMW Motorrad, and Anthony Grant , new to the bike industry from the investment banking world, have joined forces to open up a second Scoot Squad Dealership in the Western Cape.

The new dealership in Hermanus compliments their current home base in Somerset West. They specialise in the two high end brands of Scooter well known to the South African market, Vespa and Italjet.
Both dealerships are very conveniently placed on either side of the famous Clarence drive, which is absolutely one of the top 5 best roads in South Africa to ride a Motorcycle on, a very happy set of circumstances indeed!
Penny started Scoot Squad and established the dealership with bike sales, rentals, workshop, gear and accessories. Anthony actually rented a bike from Penny – and promptly fell in love with the whole concept.
Thanks to the nasty traffic in the area, he bought the rental and decided to see how he could get involved on the business side of things.
After a few cups of coffee and some discussions with Penny, this partnership was formed. The dealerships ( Somerset west and Hermanus) offer all the standard sales and aftersales back up.
Rentals are a big part of the operation, they have 12 shiny new Vespa’s available for rental already as well as helmets and jackets and things.
Delivery can be arranged anywhere in the Western Cape. All you need is a valid motorcycle licence and you are good to go.
For anyone visiting the Western Cape, this is an amazing option. Arrange for the bike to be dropped off at your accommodation, and you don’t have to fight with the disastrous traffic.
Scoot squad has plans to open a few more dealerships.
The Hermanus branch is temporarily located at 5 Mitchell street in the centre of town but will move in January to shiny new premises at Hemel-en-Aarde shopping complex on 7 village lane in Hermanus.
