Ducati has rolled out a machine that seems to straddle two worlds, pure muscle roadster savagery with enough sport DNA to get you really excited about the twisty stuff. The Diavel V4 RS isn’t just another big, bold cruiser, it’s the Diavel thrown into high gear.
Engine.
Under its sculpted skin, the RS is equipped with the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4, the same engine that powers some of Ducati’s superbikes. Peak output is 182 hp at 11,750 rpm, with 120 Nm at 9,500 rpm. That’s 14 more horses over the standard Diavel V4.
Suspension and Wheels.
The Diavel V4 RS is fitted with Öhlins suspension front and rear that comes standard, lending that sporty edge. Forged “Y spoke” aluminium wheels, dressed in Diablo Rosso IV tyres, this is about sharper handling, not just looking mean at traffic lights.
Brakes.
The front is equipped with dual 330 mm semi floating discs. They are clamped by Brembo Stylema radial monobloc 4 piston calipers. Out back is a single 265 mm disc with a 2‑piston Brembo floating caliper.
Electronics & riding modes.
There are four rider modes: Race (new to Diavel family), Sport, Touring, Wet. Plus Power Modes, Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Quick Shift 2.0 and an upgraded launch control strategy. TFT dash graphics get RS‑specific animations.
Styling.
It’s unmistakable. Carbon fibre body elements, red contrast detailing, single seat tail, RS logo plate, that four exit exhaust with titanium end caps and aluminium covers. This is a Diavel that doesn’t hide its aggression.
Ergonomics.
The 790 mm seat keeps feet planted on the ground at a stand still, while wide bars and mid mounted pegs put your body in a forward, semi racey stance, seemingly making it more of a sportbike than cruiser once you get moving.
