Sunday Fun At Legends...
Not every drag race needs huge prize money or national championship status to be a great day out. The BMW Motorrad Montana Drag Race, held at Legends Adventure Farm, proved exactly that as bikes and cars came together to enjoy a friendly day of straight-line competition.
Using the venue’s landing strip, motorcycles lined up against motorcycles, cars squared off against cars, and every now and then someone decided to settle the age-old question by putting a bike up against a car. From what we saw, the bikes had the upper hand more often than not!
There was a healthy turnout throughout the day, with plenty of spectators soaking up the action while food stalls kept everyone well fed. The soundtrack was exactly what you’d expect, engines howling down the strip, tyres searching for grip and plenty of cheers as competitors chased bragging rights rather than trophies.
Also adding to the display was 300+, the specialised bike build shop. They showcased a selection of their impressive custom motorcycles, giving visitors something special to check out between races.
It was one of those relaxed Sunday events where enthusiasts simply came together to enjoy fast machines, good company and a few friendly battles down the runway. Judging by the smiles at the end of the day, we’d say it was a success and we look forward to the next one…
