Come and do your bit for the folks who are a bit less fortunate.
The second annual Frosty Buns Blanket run is a go!
To celebrate the launch of the new RAD showroom at Rivonia Crossing, The Bike Show and Motomedia (That’s us) have been roped in to hosting another Blanket run as the winter chill starts to set in.
Date: 1 June 2025, 8am. Bikeshop Rivonia/RAD KTM.
This is a fun, social ride taking place on Sunday, 1 June, at 8 am at Bikeshop Rivonia and their new neighbour, RAD KTM.
The ride is 140 km long and covers some of the best routes in Gauteng, ending conveniently close to home at Maggie’s Farm, also known as the “Home of the Chicken Pie”, near Lanseria.
The ride will leave Rivonia at 9-ish, go up Witkoppen, along Cedar Road out of Fourways and onto the Cradle Road to Sterkfontein Caves. It then takes a coolie break and refuel in Magaliesberg before going past Bekker Skool, Hekpoort Pass and on to the famous Satellite Road to Broederstroom. From there, the ride gets onto the R512, past the Lion Park and onto Maggie’s Farm where everyone is free to indulge in whatever culinary joys they may fancy. We recommend the chicken pies.
Everyone of all riding types and paces is invited. There will be marshals helping show the way so everyone can happily ride however they feel comfortable
The entrance fee for all this motorcycling goodness is simply a blanket to be donated to the Rotary Club of Brits-Hartbeespoort who will be there at the start to gratefully accept it. These blankets will be distributed among the needy who are becoming needier than ever as we plunge ever further into the depths of winter.

See everyone on 1 June.
