REDSTAR RACEWAY MOTORCYCLE EXPO 2025

Redstar Raceway Motorcycle Expo (by AMID) – 25 to 26 January 2025.

Adventure bikes. Road Bikes. Dirt Bikes. ATV’s. Side By Sides. Accessories. Good food. Lekker people…

Back in the day we had a world class motorcycle event, put on by the South African Motorcycle Industry and attended by just about every person with even the vaguest interest in motorcycles. This was called the AMID Show, and yes it was world class, even MCN reported on it and lauded the event as one of the best they had ever experienced in the world. That first show was hosted at Kyalami race track back in 2001, from there it moved to the Dome, then to Zwartkops Racetrack, NASREC, The Dome and eventually back to Kyalami.

In 2020, the whole world came to a grinding halt. We had to ask for permission to visit our parents, go grocery shopping or even earn a living, let alone go to a motorcycle show…. or any show for that matter. Since then the whole world has changed and normal as we knew it no longer exists…. Or does it?

January 2024 saw the South African Motorcycle Industry try to get back some semblance of normality as Redstar Raceway hosted a Motorcycle Expo with some support from the industry. Everybody came to look….

In 2025 most of the BIG HITTERS in the South African motorcycle industry will be there! There’s going to be a lot of new and exciting stuff to look at…. CF Moto has arrived on the S.A. market, as has Kayo. Both Honda and Suzuki have launched some fantastic mid-weight bikes for both road and adventure. BMW’s new GS range has really got tongues wagging. KTM is going to be there, GasGas, Husqvarna…

We reckon that it’s going to be great!

The Accessory and clothing importers are going to be out in force on the day. Suzuki will be hosting their famous Safety Day,  which is not only hugely informative and educational, but also a lot of fun. The food is always great, the soft drinks are on ice – and hey! It’s a lekker excuse to hit the roads out to Redstar for a little breakfast run!

Last year laid the foundations of what is promising to be a really good show this year, and the best part?

It is completely free to attend.

Gates times are:
9am to 4pm on Saturday the 25th
9am to 3pm on Sunday the 26th
See you there!
