The ZX-10 Masters Cup joined the Extreme Festival at Killarney International Raceway for their second last round. A lekker sunny day made for an awesome raceday.
Championship leader and King Price Extreme Rider Clinton Seller taking time to prepare for the Intercontinental Games in Jerez left the field wide open? The qualifying round saw #60 Trevor Westman on pole position, #39 AJ Venter and #78 David Enticott filling the front row.
Race 1. (Combined Results)
With a great start Westman got the holeshot and lead the pack for a couple of laps before a bizarre incident had Westman loose the front before turn 3 and the bike hit the tyre wall and bounced back hitting Westman, Westman was taken to hospital, and the feedback is that he has already taken a few steps and is well on his way to recovery. The incident brought out the red flag and the race had to be restarted. The race got under way once again with Venter taking the lead and Enticott behind him. Venter went on to win the race and Enticott taking 2nd. #4 Hein McMahon had a good race as he came from a few positions back to end the race in 3rd place. #1 Graeme van Breda crossed the line in 4th with #15 James Barson placed in 5th.
Race 2. (Combined Results)
A great start from Venter saw him taking the lead early with Enticott chasing hard. #821 Damion Purificati had a good first lap as he gained two positions over Van Breda and McMahon. A few laps later Purificati was overtaken by McMahon. When the flag came out Venter took the double win and Enticott claimed 2nd again. A hard race for the finish line had McMahon clinch 3rd place by under a second from Purificati who finished in 4th and Van Breda taking 5th.
