Last year The 1000 Bike Show was good but this year it was great. There was so much more space to move around and best of all you could actually walk among the bikes and get the whole experience instead of just the front or rear of the bikes.

Unique people.
The 1000 Bike Show
A helping hand from the CMA.

You know it is going to be a good day out when you start by meeting some friendly and colourful people at the gate. Once inside, if you arrived on a bike, the amazing people from the Christian Motorcyclists offered to keep your gear safe so you could freely walk about the show.

Thanks Guys.

Moving along we found the Velocette Owners Club with a few of their bikes, even some of the motorcycles that take part in the DJ Rally.

The BMW stand had this very cool R1000RT with a side cart that we found quite fascinating. We spoke to Keith Kendall with probably one of the cleanest bikes we have seen.

There were hordes of off-road bikes and some great people that owns them, check out the Dirt Bikes here: https://dirtandtrail.co.za/2025-1000-bike-show/

The Vintage Motorcycle Club had quite the collection on display. One of the coolest bikes was the 1923 Douglas Motorcycle.

Soekoe Moto-Bicycles had once again made an impression with their one of a kind Moto-Bicycles.

Moto Guzzi also made their presence known, alongside some other Italian classics such as Vespa, Gilera and Laverda.

Then there was Ducati, there is no need to say much, the photos will speak for themselves.

“The British are Coming”… English motorcycles were there too and it seemed that BSA was the top dog.

Linex was out and about showcasing some new kids on the block with their collection of Yamahas and Kawasakis.

One of the coolest bikes on display was by the people from the Woolf Club that had the coolest cut throat razors up for grabs. The bike was a custom Steam Punk BMW.

Tyres Incorporated was there with a range of tyres and an ultra light BST wheel on display.

Last but not least just before exiting the show there was the monstrous, turbo charged, custom  trike, like something you have never seen before.

Never been to the show?

Well best you put it into your diary for next year. It’s an awesome display of some of the worlds finest historic motorcycles…
