Honda CB 1000 SP Hornet

The 2025 Honda CB 1000 SP Hornet Hits SA.

Ever since the Honda CB 1000 SP Hornet was unveiled at the 2024 EICMA show, Honda Wing South Africa has been bombarded with one question: Is the 1000 SP coming to South Africa? Yes it is, theres one here in  fact and we got our first proper look at it at the AMID Motorcycle Expo recently.

We ran a short feature when the CB 1000 Hornet was revealed at Eicma last year.  

the actual bike really looks rhe part and we are really looking forward to swinging our leg over for a proper ride. 

Currently only the homologation model is here and was specially flown in for the show.

We are told that the price will be somewhere around  sub R300k mark. Here’s a quick look at some of the features you can expect…

Naked Blade:

It’s powered by the 2017 Honda Fireblade 16 valve, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 107 Nm of torque and 116 kW of power. It comes with multiple rider modes; Standard, Rain, Sport and two User Modes.

The Hornet has a 6 speed manual transmission with an Assisted slipper clutch. A full colour 5” TFT screen with the Honda Road Sync App.

The front brakes have been fitted with radial mounted four-piston Brembo Stylema brake calipers gripping down on 310mm floating discs and a Nissin single piston caliper and a 240mm brake disc.

The front suspension has been fitted with a 41mm Showa USD SFF-BP fork with 118mm of travel. At the back you will find a Showa Monoshock damper and a Prolink swingarm with 138mm of travel.
