The Speed is on the left. The X is on the right.

Triumph has landed two bikes to add to their arsenal of machinery and we told you all about them a coupla months ago.

The Speed 400 roadster joins Triumph’s modern classic line-up, the Speed Twin 900 and 1200 while the Scrambler 400 X takes design cues from the Scrambler 900 and 1200.. You can read all about them here…

The roadster drew a group of fans looking for that old-school nostalgia.

The X drew most of the attention as an entry to adventure riding – and it really is quite pretty in the flesh.

The bikes are in SA and we went along to the Triumph dealership in Sandton for a looksee. It was an impressive turnout for the evening, with Triumph boss Bruce Allen sharing all sorts of interesting news about the brand and their  market share in the South African market.

Triumph is on a roll with an impressive lineup. The bikes look really cool and were well received by the crowd…

When they have a couple of demo’s we’ll try to scrag a bike or two and let you know what we think.
