The ZX-10 Masters Cup made its way to Zwartkops Raceway this past weekend with The National Extreme Festival. As usual, the event was well supported by spectators and the ZX10 cup is always a firm favourite with lots of exciting racing.

Results combined.

Running four qualifying rounds to determine pole position is no easy task, especially when the track is shared by 28 bikes. After the dust settled it was #11 Clinton Seller who got to start from the front. #4 Hein McMahon and #42 Jason Lamb joined Seller on the front row.

Race 1.

When the lights went out it was ‘elbows out’ mayhem as they all dive bombed into turn 1. Seller came out of the turn with his lead intact. In lap four #93 Teddy Brooke took a spill ending up completely upside down.Seller extended his lead and there was no catching him as he took the win. #4 McMahon raced extremely well and took the flag in 2nd, #60 Trevor Westman 3rd, #42 Jason Lamb 4th and #1 Graeme van Breda finished 5th. #469 Adriaan van Dalen collided with #77 Appanna Ganapathy in the last corner of the heat taking them both out of the race.

Race 2.

With all the action from race 1 everyone had their fingers crossed for an incident free race and it worked as race 2 had no accidents at all. The King Price Extreme Rider had pulled this race from the top shelf, some excellent racing gave Seller another perfect day and full points to go with it. All the action came from the three riders behind him, all fighting for second and third. McMahon, Lamb and Westman kept things close throughout the race as they battled for podium spots. Crossing the line in 2nd place was #4 McMahon, #42 Lamb 3rd, #60 Westman 4th and another 5th spot for #1 van Breda.
