Brilliant racing at Welkom’s Phakisa 200 Festival
Saturday the7th of May saw 18 racers descend onto the famous Phakisa track near Welkom for a day of exciting racing.
Great vibe and a chilly morning start led to two exciting races especially up front.

Lamb and Van Breda are, quite simply class acts!
Lamb put one over Graeme van Breda to win the opening SunBet ZX10 Masters race by a mere three-tenths of a second.
Veteran duo Pieter de Vos and Brian Bontekoning were next home from Wayne Shelley, Hein McMahon, Appanna Ganapathy and David Enticott.
Race 2 was a cracker, with Van Breda edging Lamb out by a mere 1000’th of a second. You don’t get tighter racing than that. They were followed home by Bontekoning, Shelley, de Vos, McMahon, Enticott, Veringa, Munton and Ganapathy.
