Dealers across SA unveiled the latest S1000RR by BMW and BMW Motorrad Fourways opened their doors for a first look/ride of the new 2025 S1000RR…
With new looks, more aero and more power, nobody was disappointed. The team at BMW Motorrad Fourways put on a fantastic day with great food, drinks, popcorn and even a little welcome gift of a packet of biltong – Nice!
Three models were covered under sheets and with a puff of smoke the bikes were revealed. After a short briefing on what the new models hold and what riders can expect everybody flocked around the bikes to have a closer look with lots of pointing and oohing and aahing.
The S 1000 RR has a bump in power from 205 Hp to 210 Hp just to bring a little more excitement to the riding experience. Fitted with new fairings and wings that allows for even more downforce, now said to have 5.9 kg of downforce at 150 km/h. An Akrapovič exhaust now comes standard with each model. There are carbon fibre packs available and also comes standard on some models.
One of the bikes was pushed out and made available for test rides. That bike had barely out the door before the first rider was throwing his leg over and ready to put the new BMW S1000RR through its paces. A bunch more riders took it out on the road, all coming back with big smiles on their faces.
The day was a great success for the BMW Motorrad Fourways Team.
