QJMotor Unveils Rino 900 Adventure-Tourer

With Eicma in full swing, there are some really interesting bikes being introduced. Donovan Fourie takes a look at the new QJMotor Rino

The Rino was shown as a prototype at EICMA last year and has been unveiled in its production form this year. It is described as an adventure-tourer designed for mostly tar riding with light off-road capability.

The motor is a three-cylinder 900 cc unit producing 119.7 hp and 93 Nm of torque, which is transferred to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter.

The throttle is a ride-by-wire setup with three riding modes and the usual electronic aids, including cruise control. All of this is controlled via a seven-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity and navigation.

The chassis comprises a steel frame with the motor used as a stressed member, along with an aluminium swingarm and subframe.

As is traditional for QJMotor, the Rino 900 uses Marzocchi suspension with 200/190 mm of travel and adjustable preload and rebound damping.

The brakes are by Brembo, with ABS that has both road and off-road modes.

The wheels are spoked, 19/17-inch and tubeless-ready.

The fuel tank holds 20 litres and the kerb weight is 220 kg.
