It is nearing that time of the year again, Linex Sandton and the Soweto Motorbike School (SMS) will once again join forces to help those in need this Mandela Day for the 2025 SMS Mandela Day Charity Run.
SMS and Linex Sandton will be collaborating again for this year’s Mandela Day on the 19th of July where hundreds of riders will gather at Linex Sandton. People from all cultures will come together for one cause, to spread hope and love to the less fortunate. Bikes of all sizes and makes are welcome to join in on the day.
SMS has been doing the Charity Run since 2011, 14 years of helping the South African people. People have donated fridges, stoves, sewing machines and all types of appliances to make the children’s lives better. No donation is too big or too small.
It is free to join, but a donation of tin foods, blankets, clothing, pap and toys will be much appreciated as it will add to the cause. All proceeds will go towards orphanages across gauteng. All to bring joy and smiles to the children.
All riders that want to join the 2025 SMS Mandela Day Charity Run can meet up with all the other riders at Linex Sandton on the 19th of July at 9:00, clutches out at 9:30. The ride will be under the supervision of the Ekurhuleni Traffic Police, this is to ensure that everybody can enjoy a safe ride. From Linex the riders will make their way to the Thato Kematla Orphanage Home in Orange Farm.
So, do your bit this Mandela Day and make your 67 minutes count. If you can’t join the ride you can drop off your donations at Linex Sandton, 19 Eastern Service Rd, Kelvin, Sandton.
