Forma City Dry boots

Not everyone is a fan of  clomping along or plodding around in cumbersome track or sport focused motorcycle boots all day, especially if your daily routine requires commuting between destinations on a motorcycle a few times a day. So, what do you do? You want to be comfortable and you still want the protection…. and be stylish. Over and above their range of Casual wear, yet protective jackets and jeans, DMD also does a range of riding shoes that are comfortable, fashionable and still offer excellent protection.

The ‘City Dry’ in black waxed suede leather is a classic looking shoe designed mainly for city or urban use, but nothing stops you from riding light adventure gravel with them. Its technical features make it comfortable and safe for everyday riding, definitely safer than your favourite pair of tekkies or hiking boots. They are manufactured to be water resistant but still breathable thanks to the ‘Drytex’ membrane which keeps your feet dry in all circumstances, including helping to reduce sweat so you don’t pass out when you remove them after a long hot day in the saddle under the African sun.

Speaking of removing or putting them on, Forma has fitted a zipper on the side for easy ingress and egress and you still have laces, with reinforced eyelets, for that perfect fit. Assisting with that perfect fit and comfort along with the Drytex Tubular lining is the soft polymer padding with memory foam inner lining along with the antibacterial and replaceable footbed which also features an APS or ‘Air Pump System’, talk about a personalised fit. This whole lot is attached to a dual density rubber sole, which not only gives you lekker grip on the footpegs, but combined with all of the above makes them really lekker to go walking in.

From a safety point of view, the Forma City Dry boot has a reflective insert to make you more visible to other road users, and they look pretty cool as well. Then, there is reinforced ankle protection on the outside, with extra moulded reinforcing in the heel and toe areas complimented by something called ergonomically shaped ‘Ankle TPU’ moulded plastic protectors as well as a s PP Mid Dual Flex, anti-shock material, midsole. And so you don’t have to carry around that weird little pad, the Forma City Dry has built in gear shifter protection into its full grain leather upper.

In a nutshell, they are hard and protective in all the right places and really very comfortable where they need to be with a robust construction all around.
