Keep those hands cozy...
Heated grips. Laugh at them all you like until you’ve actually used them in winter…
Whether you’re tackling a winter commute, an early morning breakfast run or a long-distance tour, warm hands are lekker things to have.
Oxford’s HotGrips Advanced Integrated range takes a modern approach to heated grips by integrating the controller directly into the grip itself, creating a cleaner installation and reducing handlebar clutter. The system features five selectable heat levels, allowing riders to tailor the amount of warmth to suit changing weather conditions, while heat memory and battery-saving functions add convenience for everyday use.
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, Oxford has developed three versions of the Advanced Integrated HotGrips, each aimed at a specific type of rider.
Touring
The Touring version is designed for riders who spend long hours on the road. Its grip pattern prioritises comfort and durability while helping to reduce fatigue during extended rides. This makes it a natural fit for sport-tourers, touring motorcycles and everyday road bikes that regularly cover serious mileage.
Adventure
Adventure riders often face a mix of tar, gravel and off-road terrain, sometimes while wearing thicker gloves. The Adventure version features a more aggressive tread pattern that provides additional grip and control in a wider range of conditions. It is aimed squarely at adventure and dual-sport motorcycles where versatility is a priority.
Sport
For riders who value maximum feedback through the handlebars, the Sport version uses a sport-focused grip pattern designed to maintain a direct connection between rider and machine. It is ideally suited to supersports, naked performance motorcycles and riders who prioritise feel during spirited road riding.
While each version has its own grip pattern and intended application, all three share the same heating technology and integrated control system. The result is a heated grip package that allows riders to choose the design best suited to their motorcycle and riding style without compromising on functionality.
Fitment is simple. The entire process is a straightforward DIY job that takes about 1 to 2 hours using basic tools. It involves removing your old grips, sliding on the new heated ones, and connecting the wiring to your battery. If you are nervous about doing it yourself, get it all down to your local motorycle dealer dealer…
