When Ducati creates something special they do go all out. The latest limited edition V4 is inspired by its Italian 4 wheel cousin the Lamborghini Revuelto ad Personam and it comes complete with special livery, a dry clutch, Akrapovič silencer and carbon fibre elements.
Limited to just 630 + 63 units, this marks the third chapter in a collaboration between two giant Italian brands. There was the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini then the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini and now the Panigale V4 Lamborghini has been created.
This is said to be the most sophisticated and most high-performance in the marriage’s product lineup.
This collectors model embodies sophisticated technology with extreme sports attitude and exclusivity, values shared by both Ducati and Lamborghini.
Akrapovič has stepped up their game with their homologated silencer with titanium alloy main section, carbon end caps and dedicated engine calibration allowing the maximum power to climb to 218.5 hp This is a 2.5 hp increase from the stock Panigale V4.
The extensive use of carbon fibre makes a total weight of just 195 kg That’s 2 kg’s less than the Panigale V4 S with a power to weight ratio of 1.18 hp/kg.
Inspired by Lamborghini supercars, the livery is on a black base with carbon fibre details that showcases a visible Twill weave. A few examples of the details crafted in carbon can be found in the fairings, tail section, front and rear mudguards and exhaust cover.
The Panigale V4 Lamborghini features a dry clutch, adjustable footpegs, a billet aluminium brake and clutch lever and counterweights. For the track, the bike comes with a billet aluminium racing fuel cap, brake calipers cooling ducts, a semi open carbon fibre clutch cover and a tool kit to remove the licence plate and rear view mirrors.
Ducati’s designers have redesigned the winglets and tail section, drawing inspiration from the lines of the Sant’Agata Bolognese super sports car. As for the forged aluminium wheels, they flaunt the exact same design as those of the Revuelto ad Personam.
The engine is a 4 valve per cylinder, liquid cooled 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stadale 90° V4 with counter-rotating crankshaft and Desmodromic timing and comes complete with a 6 speed transmission with Ducati quick shift up and down. It is also equipped with a hydraulically controlled slipper dry clutch and self bleeding master cylinder.
Up front you will find an Öhlins NPX 25/30 (SV) S-ec 3.0 pressurized 43 mm Fully adjustable forks with TiN treatment. They include electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment with Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 event-based mode. The rear is fitted with a fully adjustable Öhlins TTX36 (SV) S-EC 3.0 unit also with electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment. The rear shock is fitted to a beautifully crafted Aluminium Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm.
Ducati went with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc Hypure 4 piston calipers with Race eCBS that bite on two 330 mm semi-floating discs and self bleeding master cylinder. The rear is fitted with a 2 piston caliper with Race eCBS and a 245 mm brake disc.
So – 630 units in this exclusive limited edition V4 Lamborghini, with an additional offer of a more exclusive series of only 63 units.
These are known as the Speciale Clienti.
Those bikes wear the number 63, reference to the year when Lamborghini was founded.
A couple of unique elements to the model include the machined solid aluminium steering plate, the dedicated key-on dash animation bearing the bike name and unit number, a certificate of authenticity and a dedicated bike cover which is delivered in a special box that matches the livery. The bike is also further embellished with a plaque on the engine that bears its name – Desmosedici Stradale.
If you order one of the Panigale V4 Lamborghini’s, it will be delivered in an exclusive, customized wooden crate that comes complete with a racing rear stand. That would be a conversation piece on its own!
