Toy Run 2023

Even the family Dawg came along.
A roaring success again, the Toy Run, one of SA’s biggest and oldest motorcycle events ran faultlessly throughout SA.

Since 1982, It is estimated that the attendees of the Motorcycle ToyRun – Gauteng have Donated Approximately 885,940 Toys. Whoever counted that – well done!

Lekker people of all shapes nd sizes.
Some a lot prettier than others...

Founded in 1982 by the Italian Motorcycle Owners Club (IMOC), The Motorcycle Toy Run Gauteng has hosted an annual mass ride gathering each year (even in 2020/21 with all Covid-19 safety measures in place, whilst the mass ride was banned we still collected toys for distribution). For many of these later years starting from 4 venues in the North, East, South & West of Johannesburg and convening at an end venue where bikers gained entry to entertainment, stalls and fun by donating a toy to the Toy Run Charity.

We went along to the Gauteng leg – and we pinched pics from the Overberg and Durban crowd. Nice one guys!

What a cool start to the Christmas season.

The Vespa brigade was representing out West. This lot from krugersdorp.
We met this Duke Mounted Santa at the finish. His suit was blown to pieces...

Some of the Overberg riders. They had a fantastic turnout and were kind enough to post lots.

Thank you to Gauteng Traffic police for support the Gauteng Annual Toy Run and keep all our rides safe. An amazing show of support from the Gauteng Local Goverment to make sure all the underprivileged kids get something for Christmas.

Thank you Heneways Freight Services for their continued support of the Toy Run. The trucks are the most amazing way to create more space and solve all your logistics needs.

Massive shout out to Silver Star Casino and Tsogo Sun gaming for an amazing donation of 50 bags filled to the brim with donations for the kids this year. It is so awesome to see how our start venues are so dedicated and willing to help the children over Christmas. #toyrun2023 #SilverstarCasino

And big thanks to the legions of volunteers from places like Round Table and all the great people who make this event possible.

It’s always lekker. A great time to meet old, and new friends.

Coz…

You need a bike in your life!

The Toy Run is South Africa’s largest motorcycle ride, and it’s all for charity. Every year at the end of November or beginning December, tens of thousands of bikes rally together country-wide to give joy to the needy children of South Africa. Thousands of toys are strapped to bikes and paraded through our cities.
