The Yamaha R1 2025 is a track-only model, focused exclusively on performance and gets rid of unnecessary elements like the catalytic converters and headlights.
The bike features an aluminium frame and 200 hp CP4 engine with irregular firing.
There are several new features:
Aerodynamics are inspired by the MotoGP YZR-M1 and the new R1 features a new fairing with carbon fibre winglets.
The 43mm KYB fork now has separate rebound and compression settings, while the braking system adopts Brembo components, including Stylema callipers.
The electronic package remains comprehensive, managed by a 6-axis IMU, including traction control, anti-skid and multi-map ABS.
Yamaha offers the R1 GYTR version, equipped with special parts such as the GYTR ECU, Akrapovic exhaust and carbon fibre fairing, ready for racing and track days.
