While we were down in the Mother City we popped in at Honda Wing Cape Town for a bit of a look around.
Gauteng, deep in between the high rises of a bustling city is not a safe place to be, but Cape Town is different. Clean, bright, friendly and safe with working traffic lights, no potholes!
Riding in to Honda Wing Cape Town is very pleasant, more akin to Sandton City and surrounds.
Arriving at the dealership, city street parking is at a premium, but we were directed to a motorcycle parking bay just inside the entrance of the dealership, directly in front of the Honda Wing showroom.
How lekker is that?
Better still, standing front and centre was the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade and the brand new Honda CB1000SP Hornet which we hope to get our grubby mitts on to soon..
The rest of the showroom is stocked to the brim with every latest offering Honda Wing has available in South Africa, from a multitude of the latest Honda NC750X to rows of XR’s, a full offering of dirt bikes, commercial bikes and scooters. Also just waiting for you are CB 750 Hornets in both colours, (we do like the yellow), and a good selection of CRF1100 Africa Twins and XL750 Transalps – the showroom floor is literally jam packed with bikes.
Being attached to a car dealership as is the case with most Honda Wing dealers, they can look at trade-ins on cars or bikes. They also assist with easy finance and insurance options, have a hot shot professional workshop and most important of all….
Really good coffee
They are also hugely active in the Cape Town motorcycle social scene, arranging a lot of events, rides, breakfast runs and tours, usually in partnership with the local clubs, other dealerships and local venues. These events are always well supported and very festive, so if you are at a bit of a loose end as to where to ride your bike in the greater Cape Town area, keep up to date on Honda Wing Cape Town’s social media platforms.
